David Pipe’s yard has been very successful this year. The trainer took home three memorable wins at the Cheltenham Festival last month, and all three are set to run again at the Crabbie’s Grand National Festival at Aintree later this week.

The Ryanair Chase victor Dynaste is set to return in the Betfred Bowl on Thursday. The trip shouldn’t trouble the eight year-old, he is currently sharing favouritism at Paddy Power Paddy Power with Silviniaco Conti at 9-4.

Dynaste must jump nineteen fences in the 5,000 metre race, but jockey Tom Scudamore doesn’t think the long trip so soon after his Ryanair win will have a negative impact on the ride. Pipe shared a similar positive outlook in his personal blog.

The trainer said: “I am pleased to report that he is good order at home, so I am hopeful of a bold show from him.  A course-and-distance winner last season in the Mildmay, conditions look likely to suit him again and it should certainly be an exciting renewal with the likes of Silviniaco Conti and First Lieutenant likely to line up against him.”

Racing Post Arkle winner Western Warhorse, who also took home a win at Doncaster back in January, is set to run on the first day of the Grand National – in the Grade1 Manifesto Novices’ Chase. The Manifesto is a Grade 2 National Hunt chase open to horses aged five years or older. The Manifesto was established in 2009, and it features horses which ran previously in the Arkle Challenge Trophy and the Jewson Novices’ Chase. The event is named after Manifesto, a horse which ran eight times in the Grand National between 1895 and 1904. He won the race twice, finished third on three occasions, and was fourth once.

Pipe’s third Cheltenham winner Ballynagour, who won the Group Plate, is readying for the Melling Chase on Friday. He’s currently a third-place favourite at Paddy Power Paddy Power with odds of 9-2, behind Rajdhani Express at 7-2, and Module at 4-1. The Melling Chase is a Grade 1 National Hunt chase open to horses aged five years or older. It is run over a distance of 4,000 metres, and during its running there are sixteen fences to be jumped.

Pipe last won the Grand National titular race itself back in 2008 with Comply Or Die, and is looking for another win with three potential runners. Our Father (40-1) and The Package (28-1) are already guaranteed runners, but prospective runner Swing Bill (66-1) is currently 42nd on the list for the 40-runner race.

Pipe has announced if the 13 year-old veteran, who came sixth in the race last year, misses the cut he will run in the Topham Chase instead.
